President “Joko Widodo” is determined to continue to advance and modernize national transportation, especially mass transportation, and its supporting infrastructure. By 2024, Indonesia is targeted to have 7,451 km of railway lines. It is expected that the construction of rail network in the country by 2030 is 10,524 km.
In addition The Ministry of Transportation and the Ministry of National Development Planning (Bappenas) have approved the development of the Bali Light Rail Transit (LRT) project in Indonesia. The LRT line will span 9.46 km from Ngurah Rai International Airport to Seminyak. The project will be developed at an estimated investment of IDR10 trillion. It is expected to be completed by 2027.
