At GE Transportation, we are in the business of realizing potential. We are a global technology leader and supplier of equipment, services and solutions to the rail, mining, marine, stationary power and drilling industries. Our innovations help customers deliver goods and services with greater speed and savings using our advanced manufacturing techniques and connected machines. Our digital solutions, which provide data-driven insights to improve efficiency, leverage Predix – GE’s cloud-based operating system for the Industrial Internet. Established more than a century ago, GE Transportation is a division of the General Electric Company that began as a pioneer in passenger and freight locomotives. That innovative spirit still drives GE Transportation today and is strengthened by our ability to serve customers more holistically through the GE Store – a global exchange of knowledge, technology and tools across all GE businesses that ultimately provides better outcomes for customers. About GE Transportation in Indonesia

GE Transportation has been serving Indonesia since 1953 when the first GE locomotive was introduced to the country. Over the course of 60 years, we have seen tremendous transformation, and we are very pleased to be part of this transformation, growing together with Indonesia. To date, GE has delivered over 350 locomotives to Indonesia, supporting the transport of more than 200 million passengers and nearly 20 million tons of freight each year. The latest addition of the fleet is powered by 150 GE CC206 diesel-electric locomotives, and it’s covered under Multi-year Maintenance and Service Agreement to ensure reliability and high utilization rates.

We see strong needs of further upgrading the entire rail ecosystem to enhance productivity and efficiency in Indonesia, and digital is a game changer. As part of GE’s commitment to support the growth of Indonesia’s railways sector, GE is bringing its latest digital solutions – RailConnect 360TM – to help improve railway operations.  RailConnect 360TM is a suite of integrated software solutions, which integrates, automates and optimizes railway operations by providing real-time, data-driven insights.

Among the comprehensive RailConnect 360 TM product suite, Trip Optimizer is a smart, automated cruise control system that ingests data, and makes an optimally fuel-efficient plan. Trip Optimizer has helped customers save over 90 million gallons of fuel, gain ~10% in fuel efficiency, and surpass a record 150 million miles in auto control mode.

Movement Planner and Yard Planner products account for the fact that a train is just one part in a larger ecosystem. These solutions both use advanced algorithms to optimize a railroad’s entire network. They allow a railroad to continuously analyze and optimize traffic, enabling more trains to run on the same railroad at faster speeds, with less congestion and dwell and without laying new track.
