PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) TBK known as WIKA is working on MRT project in Taiwan. The mass transportation project has begun since the middle of last year.

“At the moment, we are focusing on the work of basement, columns, walls, and platforms in four stations,” said Aden Sukanda project Manager of WIKA.

The state owned enterprises targeted to build 13 stations, which became the company’s duties. It is estimated that the work will be completed in 2021.

WIKA worked on inner ring road MRT project in New Taipei City – Taiwan, after having cooperated with the contractor of RSEA Engineering Corporation.

The line which is named as Sanying Line will stretch for 14.3 kilometers and will connect Tucheng, Sanxia and Yingge through 13 stops stations who will be built by WIKA. Sanying Line will be a stepping stone for the Taiwan Government to realize the integration of transportation from Taiwan Airport to Taipei City.

The project’s development involves 133 national ambassadors and focuses on the work of four stations in Yingge and Sanxia area which are averaging 1.2 kilometers between the stations.

“As WIKA is sole contractors from outside Taiwan who involved in the project, so we have to put effort in the beginning to build trusts with many parties from the government, partners and vendors in here,” explained Aden.

He also explained that working in the middle of the covid-19 pandemic in abroad become a new challenge for the whole team. However, by creating and executing the health protocols, the project can still run normally until today.

With the limitation of project distances and current conditions, WIKA has leverages the communication technology to ensure that project development continues to run by advancing aspects of quality, safety and occupational health.

One of the practices is implementing “QSHE Online Patrol” by utilizing online interaction applications followed by the Board of Directors, the Central Management and Project Management of Sanying Line, Taiwan.

This activity is implemented routinely as a solution to reduce distance limitation and increase work activity by optimizing the role of technology.

WIKA Garap Proyek MRT di Taiwan

Jakarta, CNN Indonesia —

Perseroan menggarap proyek MRT inner ring road di New Taipei City, Taiwan, setelah digandeng kontraktor RSEA Engineering Corporation.
